Project description:

HA Capacity supported the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) by strengthening the capacities of stakeholders involved in the Strategy. As one of the Horizontal Actions of the EUSBSR, the project focused on capacity building, stakeholder engagement and coordination, applying multilevel governance as a guiding principle.

Objectives:

  • Capacity building:
    • Strengthen the skills and capacities of EUSBSR stakeholders involved in implementing the Strategy and its Action Plan.
  • Promotion of involvement and participation:
    • Increase participation and engagement of a broad range of actors, including local and regional authorities, businesses, academia and civil society.
  • Coordination and communication:
    • Improve coordination, communication and cooperation within the EUSBSR and between EU macro-regional strategies.

Key actions & results:

  • Promoted stakeholder engagement through events, dialogues and activities linked to the EUSBSR.
  • Strengthened coordination and knowledge exchange within the EUSBSR and with other EU macro-regional strategies.
