Project description:

The project promoted awareness and visibility of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) and its Action Plan across Finland. It aimed to encourage Finnish stakeholders to participate in the Strategy by improving communication and lowering the threshold for involvement. The project continued national communication efforts carried out in cooperation with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and sought to increase public understanding of the EUSBSR and European cooperation.

Objectives:

  • Increase awareness of the EUSBSR and its activities among stakeholders across Finland.
  • Expand Swedish-language communication on the EUSBSR by translating key materials and website content.
  • Strengthen cooperation and communication between Centrum Balticum and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.

Key actions & results:

  • Implemented targeted communication activities to raise national awareness of the EUSBSR and its projects.
  • Expanded outreach to Swedish-speaking audiences and stakeholders in regions where knowledge of the Strategy had been limited.
  • Developed bilingual communication materials and strengthened the project website as a central information platform.
