The agenda of the Baltic Sea Region Forum is published

The Baltic Sea Region Forum 2023 dives into the most pressing problems of the moment by focusing on the safety and security of the Baltic Sea region. The 15th Baltic Sea Region Forum will be held at the University of Turku on June 15. The detailed programme and link to registration is here.

The Baltic Sea Region Forum 2023 "Security and safety in the Baltic Sea region" is divided into three themes.

The first “Changing security environment in Northern Europe" is organized together with the National Defense University.

The partner of the second theme "Securing and maintaining critical energy supply and infrastructure in the Baltic Sea region" is the University of Cambridge.

The third theme focuses on the prevention of cross-border crime under the title "Combating cross-border crime".

The theme of the previous year’s Baltic Sea Region Forum was readjustment for the situation in Europe, specifically to the energy crisis. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the resulting sanctions changed the energy system in Europe fundamentally, but also accelerated the detachment from fossil energy.

Glimpses and messages from the last year’s Baltic Sea Region Forum can be found here.
