Centrum Balticum has a solid expertise in the diverse matters of the Baltic Sea. We are experienced in project cooperation and various funding programs in the Baltic Sea region. Our area of specialty is project communication and we have worked as a communication partner in several international projects. In addition to communications, we have management expertise and experience in project lead as well as project development. We work in an agile manner with both private and public actors.
Centrum Balticum has long acted at the heart of the EU's Baltic Sea Region Strategy and developed its communication and governance. As a result, we have strengthened our networks across Europe. Currently we work as the Strategy Point to support the coordination, communication and development the Strategy.
The Baltic Sea Region Forum is our largest and most well-known event. Each year it brings together high-level experts to discuss themes related to the Baltic Sea.
We also promote the
discussion on the development of the Baltic Sea region through our
publications. The best known of our publications is the weekly "Pulloposti" column (in Finnish). Current research and
policy recommendations are published in the BSR Policy Briefing and the Baltic
Rim Economies.

Through the Protection Fund for the Archipelago Sea, we further a better state of the sea by funding local water protection projects.
