Sustainable water management ensures water safety in the Baltic Sea Region: Discussion at the Europe Forum on August 28

Our ReNutriWater project will be present at the discussion event organized at the Turku Europe Forum on Wednesday, August 28. The event “Riding the Wave - Sustainable Water Management in the Baltic Sea Region” will present holistic solutions to water management challenges, such as reuse of water and the nutrients it contains, seasonal changes in water use and flood prevention.

The theme of the Europe Forum is Europe's safe future, and water safety is an integral part of citizens' general safety. This year, the sustainable use of water is also the theme of European Green Week and the discussion at the Europe Forum is a Green Week Partner Event.

Four projects focusing on ensuring water safety in the Baltic Sea Region will participate in the panel discussion: ReNutriWater, WaterMan, NURSECOAST II and City Blues. Coordinator Elsi Kauppinen from Policy Area Nutri (EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region) also takes part in the discussion. The opening words are given by Patrick Child, Deputy Director General at DG Environment.

The discussion event will be organized on Wednesday, August 28 at 14:00 – 14:45 at Turku City Theatre (Itäinen Rantakatu 14, Turku). The event can also be followed online: https://rajucast.tv/fi/eurooppa-foorumi/eurooppa-foorumi-keskiviikko/?trackId=NQZKLhIVgqbdCruuvgmr
